Have you ever read a parenting book with the best of intentions, only to find that within a few weeks you're no longer using anything you read?
I am a psychotherapist in Leslieville, and I'm holding a reading group for parents. Each month, we read a book and then come together to discuss it. The best aspect is that I work to provide customized advice to each member of the group from the book so that it sticks.
The first book is Naomi Aldort's "Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves". The book can be ordered on-line at either Chapters or Amazon. It is not readily available in bookstores.
The event is at Lil Bean and Green. The cost is $15 and it INCLUDES a dinner for you.
While bringing children is not necessary, if you need to do so, Lil Bean has an excellent play area where you can leave toddlers, and attend to them as necessary. You can purchase or bring food for your children that you bring with.
You can respond to the event here, but for more information check-out the more info on my website for this event, and you can RSVP there as well.
