Activities/Groups for Low-Income Leslieville Seniors?
Hello -
I was wondering if anyone knows of some good groups/activities for low-income seniors in Leslieville. One of our neighbours is a senior, lives on her own, and has admitted that she is very lonely and depressed. She says she would like to get out and meet people and try to stay busy, but has no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

- Lots of Senior's outings, clinics, activities & classes at Woodgreen Community Centre 416-467-1166 or www.woodgreen.org.
- Matty Eckler Centre & Jimmie Simpson Centre both have variety of swim & fitness options. Maple Leaf Cottage is running art classes for adults but not exclusively for seniors. https://efun.toronto.ca/torontofun/Activities/ActivitiesAdvSearch.asp
- Ryerson has classes, lectures etc for adults 50+ http://ce-online.ryerson.ca/ce/default.aspx?id=2996&gclid=CI2sn...
- Sunshine Centres for Seniors 416-924-3979 http://www.sunshinecentres.com/ outside the neighbourhood but still downtown, accessible by TTC
- Centre 55 Community Centre technically in the Beach area at 97 Main (accessible by TTC) has some seniors programs http://www.centre55.com/ 416-691-1113
