Anyone know a good drycleaner in the neighbourhood?

I hit the one by Queen and Broadview and they bungled up my sweater. Loblaws is good, but way overpriced for the volume I need cleaned.

any suggestions?

There are two on the south side of Queen on either side of Pape. One is Mercury, and I forget the name of the second. Haven't tried either yet, but I'm about to after dropping 2.50/shirt at Loblaws.
ya I went to Mercury...seems sort of sketchy. there's one at Queen and Coxwell, but not sure it's good.

Loblaws does a good job, but ya it's way too expensive
Hi Sean,

Mercury closed down a few months ago and has recently reopened as Sam's Cleaners. I'm not sure if it's new owners or not. Platis Cleaners has just opened in The Garment Factory Lofts on Carlaw, North of Queen. I haven't tried either, so I don't know what the price or quality is like.
Sam's is definitely new owners - I used to go to Mercury and she told me she was shutting down because her rent got jacked way up.

I didn't know about that new drycleaner at the Garment Factory - it would be nice to have a cleaner that actually does the work on the premises. I use Loblaws for my shirts now, mainly because they have good hours (and they're open on Sunday) - I still have to take my suits to a cleaner in Leaside because I don't like shipping my suits out. I would also love to know if there are any higher quality cleaners in the area.
Carmen who owns and operates ZIPS Drycleaning at Queen & Coxwell is FANTASTIC. We have been going to her for 15+ years.
Carmen at Zip's is indeed fantastic. However, she is now at Queen and Greenwood, in a tiny little spot on the north side of Queen, just west of Greenwood. She does great repairs too.
TINA SPARKLES!!! Best and cheapest place, she is wonderful. Laundered men's shirts are $1.50, Suits are $9 I think AND she will do any repairs for you.

Queen and Pape, South East side, in the convenience store.
ya I used to go to her all the time, until she destroyed two of my shirts.
Platis Cleaners charges $1.95 for shirts. Good price in my opinion.
I'm not sure what their prices are like (yet), but I'm thinking of trying http://www.ecocleaners.ca/, since they're the only environmentally-friendly drycleaner I know of in Toronto. They're not in the area, but they have a free pick-up and drop-off service. I'll post some prices once I've actually tried them.
Kieren, where's Platis Cleaners? I've never heard of them.
