Anyone know when Ravi Soups is coming to Leslieville (and where)? - I can't wait!!!!!

I love this place and when I heard he was coming to Leslieville I was so elated. Would love the scoop on this - timing, location anything would be the best Christmas present !!!!!

I've heard they are opening a second in Queen West...not East. Am I wrong? I haven't been yet but it sure sounds like a great place.

I called Ravi and he said he is trying to secure a location on Queen between Broadview and Carlaw but that some locations for lease do not want to lease space to a restaurant. He sounded hopeful and I said that we would LOVE to have him in Leslieville. I can just taste it now. If you haven't tried his soups etc you should - and you will soon learn why he is called the King of Soup!

Oooooh I so, so hope that he is able to find space...it would be AMAZING to have a Ravi Soups in our 'hood. Seems strange that people would be unwilling to rent to a restaurant...but then again I know nothing about property rental! ;) Really hope this happens! Keep us posted if you hear any more news!

Actually that is not a bad idea. When I talked to him he seemed to want to settle somewhere between Broadview and Carlaw. He said how much he loved this area and the neighbourhood in general - who can blame him :)

I may pose this option to him and see how he feels.
