Does anyone have a ballpark range of what it costs to landscape our typical Leslieville front yards (approx 250 sf)? I realise that's akin to asking "how much does a reno cost", but are there any members that might share their experience, or that of someone they know? Most budgeting guidlines I've seen are clearly tailored to the suburban style. Thanks!

Permalink Reply by JPG&R on February 29, 2012 at 2:17pm I can't comment on hiring a landscaper, although when I moved into my house last spring I planted a perennial garden where my "lawn" was. I bought all the soil, mulch, fertilizer plants and seedlings myself . It cost around $500 plus an entire weekend of work. The size of the garden was about the size you mentioned.
I'm sure if you hire a landscaper and require stonework it would be considerably more.

Permalink Reply by hausfrau on March 1, 2012 at 4:46pm If you are looking for a recco on a landscaper - Gardens in the City is great! Used them to maintain my front yard, and they are landscaping my backyard this spring. Chaz and her crew are great - and she's a Master Gardner, so she knows what she is talking about!!

Permalink Reply by Sara on March 4, 2012 at 9:22pm I would NOT recomment East End Garden Centre. They did our front and they did a terrible job.
Permalink Reply by Christopher Williams on March 7, 2012 at 11:44am Thanks for the suggestions all....with the weather so nice lately (esp today), it's hard not to think about getting outdoors again!
