Yesterday I took a terrible fall over one of the speed bumps in the Canadian Tire parking lot. I landed flat on my face; my teeth took the entire brunt of the fall. I have no bruises on my hands or anythere; the teeth took it all.
Of the three men that ran over to help me, one said he had seen a man do the very same thing three days before.
I filed a report with Canadian Tire who of course say the bumps are "regulation". These speed bumps are like curbs; they are not the graduated ones we see everywhere. It is literally like walking along and tripping over a curb.
For the time being my dentist says there are no cracks in my teeth but there is always the possibility, he tells me, that a tooth can die.
I will of course be following this up with Canadian Tire but what I want to know is if this has happened to anyone else. Please let me know. Up here in Richmond Hill, where I work, a Tim Horton's removed the same type speed bumps because of complaints.
