Anyone hear anything about this?

Apparently it was near Dundas and Greenwood, and they claim they've been doing it for seven years. The couple who owns the house are gay and it seems the church wants to drive them from the neighbourhood. Thankfully it looks like the neighbours are fighting back.

If there's a next time, it would be great if any street residents posted here and/or on Twitter so folks could head over and show support!

I agree with Rafael some lessons to learn and I am not sure which ones yet myself. The Toronto Star has a great article and the Globe and Mail one was good as well. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/toronto/residents-conf...

I think we need a dialogue with the church not them yelling at us on our street or us yelling at them to leave our street. I am very surprised the church has not said anything, a prefect chance to have a platform to say what they want and they have not spoke out.

I do feel sorry for the couple who have ended up being the focus of this. I am glad they do not feel like a target! However neighbours on street behind have said they use to target a couples house on their street and they did not stop until the neighbours kept asking them to leave, so their is history of this before. However it is all second hand for me. I do not appreciate someone preaching to me uninvited and especially as intimidating at that preacher was in the middle of the street.

I will be very interested in if the church tries to reach out and connect and talk with the street somehow. I would think an invitation to a community discussion at the church would be good. Talk is much better face to face and lets hear what they have to say and they can hear what we have to say.
I am with Anna on this and am willing to be among those who will dialogue with the couple, the church and community.
The National Post has their own 'aftermath' coverage here.
thanks I was just going to post that.
Wow! Love thy Neighbour just went out the back door. This congregation clearly has forgotten the love of Christ, the forgiveness of Christ . Perhaps a review of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms instead of so much Old Testament?
What ever happened to church suppers? When churches would have these great homecooked suppers and invite all the neighbour kids and sinners in for a meal? Yummy!
Enough goofing around, my sincere compassion goes out to the couple who were targetted and harrassed. This is clearly a hate attack and it's against the law.
Surprise, surprise. Another whack religious group in the face of others, preaching goodness. Hilarity ensues.
