Hi there, does anyone have recommendations for a good daycare in Leslieville? Looking to get on a list for Nov/Dec 2013.
I recently saw a new daycare opened near Te Aro - does anyone know the name or have you heard anything about it?
This is my first baby so not sure about the daycare scene and what to look for! Advice welcomed! :)

Permalink Reply by Jeff Jurmain on July 10, 2012 at 2:54pm You really can't go too wrong with Woodgreen. My son's been in one of them for a while and I have no real complaints. It's by the books, well run, they pay attention to child development, all that jazz. Really I would suggest getting on as many waiting lists as you can and decide much later. Unfortunately it is often a matter of getting in somewhere rather than going with your top pick.

My home daycare, Garderie D'espoir, has an opening for September as I'll be sending my 3 year old to French Montessori to be with kids her age (I have 12-18 month olds in my care). Let me know if you'd like more information: garderiedespoir(at)bell(dot)net
A Bit About Us
We believe children learn best through play and exploration. With this in mind our program provides a balance of quiet, active play, and 1-2 rest times during the day. Each child is unique and special and our environment supports this by providing developmentally appropriate activities. These activities include developing language (French and English), literacy, visual art, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, math and science.
We serve fresh home cooked and/or baked meals and snacks from local and/or organic ingredients.
Geneviève speaks, reads, and writes both French and English. She speaks to her 3 daughters (twins @ 16 months and 1 @ 3 years) exclusively in French and has years of experience babysitting, tutoring and educating children. She has First Aid certification and will also be starting online French ECE courses in September. She loves arts, crafts, cooking and baking fresh, local and organic meals and snacks.
Geneviève’s supported by her family:
Celeste, her mother is a retired nurse with experience in pediatrics. She is here in the afternoons Monday-Thursday.
Colin, her husband has a lot of experience working with children at summer camps and after-school programs. He is here Monday-Thursday mornings and all day Friday and Saturday.
