Doctors in Leslieville? DO NOT TRY Beaches Family Practice and Walk-in - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Hi All,
Does anyone know of a doctor in Leslieville taking patients? I tried the Beaches Family Practice and it was absolutely horrible. Did the meet and greet with the doctor and then got my bloodwork and tests done there. Was supposed to go in for the physical on Thursday and after fighting rush hour traffic to get there and paying for parking I am told the doctor didn't make it in and all patients were called. Well I wasn't! The girl at the desk then tells me that they didn't have my phone number on file - well I know I completed all the info and can't figure out why she doesn't have it especially when I have been in twice. She treated me so poorly without an apology that I left without rebooking!

I called today to rebook to be told the doctor only does physicals on Tuesdays and I don't have an opening til the end of May due to my work schedule. I requested the doctor make an exception and see me on another day and was put on hold. She came back to tell me that the doctor isn't there to say yes or no and can I call back in a day or two. I asked her if she could take a note and call me back and that seemed to be too much effort for them.

Are there any doctors out there with nice receptionists who actually treat patients with respect? I get more respect, concern and care (for my dogs) at Leslieville Animal Hospital than I did at this clinic. I told them I would be requesting to have my files moved to another practice - they didn't really care!

I'm watching this thread. GP's are hard to come by so even a bad one is sometimes better than none at all. Bad is what I have right now. I practically have to become a doctor to keep an eye on everything the guy does. Anyway, a GP close to home would be good. A good GP close to home would be wonderful.
We have been patients of Dr. Massad at the Ashdale Medical Centre - right at Ashdale & Queen. Don't be fooled by storefront - he is tremendous and my husband and kids have been patients of his for over 15 years. My husband has called and left message on answering machine late at night to get appointment and they have called back by 8 a.m. the next day.

Honestly - try him - 416-469-5338
The family clinic at Bridgepoint Health (clinic is in small building next to the old Riverdale Hospital, Gerrard & Broadview) were taking new patients last time I checked. They have nice people there as well. My doctor is very friendly and knowledgeable and I've heard ditto from friends with other doctors there.
