Permalink Reply by Pat on February 15, 2012 at 10:15pm I'm reading this and looking in the right column where it's all tweets about Some psycho is poisoning dogs in the Toronto neighbourhood of Lesli... -- any idea if this is the same thing? Has a rumour taken flight, or is this something different?

Permalink Reply by Pat on February 16, 2012 at 1:12pm Thanks for posting this, Marla -- I just saw it over there, too. It's good to have details. Too bad they didn't have autopsies: it would have made it easier to track the cause and perhaps the location and perpetrator (if it was deliberate).

Permalink Reply by KatyK9.ca on February 16, 2012 at 3:25pm I was actually stopped today on my pack walk by a gentleman who told me the same thing - two recent instances of dog deaths that typically walked in alleys. He suspected they may have ingested anti-freeze (ethylene glycol), which is poisonous and life-threatening for dogs. Propylene glycol is a safer alternative to anti-freeze and not poisonous or fatal when ingested by animals. Be careful everyone!

We knew Cooper and this is so terribly heart breaking. My heart goes out to the owners. What a horrible tragedy. Does anyone know who the third victim is? There is no mention of the third. ???
Permalink Reply by Jan Hudman on February 17, 2012 at 2:35pm Another dog owner wasn't aware this was happening in our hood, until today.
Their dog Jazzle on Sunday Feb. 12 became very sick was on IV fluids and antibiotics for 16 hrs at the animal hospital. She’s finally recovered but they still don’t know what happended. When they asked the vet if was poisoning, the vet said the symptoms seems along the lines of their dog being poisoned.
Jazzle pulled through, was resilient, and doing well now.
I knew Cooper. My heart does go out to the owners of Cooper.
