Permalink Reply by Leslie Barns on September 2, 2011 at 7:46pm That whole intersection needs a bit of a boost as well.
I had an idea for Dundas & Pape, SE corner. If you know the 5 Thieves at Yonge & Price Street (just South of the Liquor Store there), this intersection could use with a complete replacement. Butcher, fishmonger, baker, produce, and a cafe/restaurant with huge patio. Ya it's just a thought.

Permalink Reply by Ara Mamourian on September 4, 2011 at 9:03am @Amy, you're right, I also heard through the grape vine that the Bridal boutique currently on Queen is moving in to that space. Will really dress up that corner nicely!
@Scratch, you don't sound too excited about The Carlaw. Why? I think it will be a nice addition to the corner, keeping part of the old building and integrating the new structure, a good mix of homes (townhomes, stuidios, larger 2plus dens) and the community space on the main level isn't for raging parties or concerts, more for weekly farmers markets and other community friendly events. Its a nice way for a building to interact with the neighbourhood rather that just take up space.
@Jen, doesn't look like there will be any retail space at The Carlaw, there are lots of retail spaces avail at Worklofts and Flatiron though, not to mention the office suites on the 2nd floor of each building.
Hope you're all enjoying your long weekend!
Permalink Reply by Leslie Barns on September 4, 2011 at 2:37pm The building looks nice. But it's in my face. Literally. It's in all our faces. We live behind it. And not only that, it will be loud. Nobody around here wants anything to interact with the neighbourhood. Actually, nobody even asked.
