We are extremely satisfied with his experience there so far. The teachers are outstanding, the principal truly cares, it is very safe, and the school's remarkable diversity is what we cherish about living in Toronto.
Like some parents, we heard apprehension from others in the neighbourhood when we first moved to the area in 2005. But we have had nothing but positive comments to share.
Over the years I've spoken to at least 10 parents in the area who seemed to not even consider sending their children to Dundas, for reasons I could never really figure out. I think they are missing out on a great experience for their children.
Oh and not that this is anyone's number one factor in choosing a school, but I can't deny that I think it's funny that my kids go the school that the original Degrassi show (Kids of Degrassi Street) was inspired by. They love seeing their school (and neighbourhood) on the DVD.
Please feel free to DM me if you would like further details.
Cheers very much for your time :)

Great news. Thanks very much for your time. Is the apprehension some parents have due to the "ranking" according to the EQAO scores? As a high school teacher I know scores are not always truly reflective of a school's atmosphere and culture of learning. Thanks again and please feel free to keep the lines of communication open. Your comments are much appreciated.

Permalink Reply by Liam Scott on February 27, 2012 at 12:51pm I can't say for sure what their concerns are. I do know that if they'd all send their kids there, rather than to others in the area, they could help turn Dundas into the best school east of the DVP.
