Permalink Reply by Greig on June 3, 2010 at 12:21pm Ummm, Flik & Co is dodgy Sid. First off, if it ever does go out of business (which it should not only because of the crap that has been going on but also because it is never open) the rent or sale price will be so high as to probably repel another dodgy business . Secondly, If you are having so many family emergenies and you are barely ever open maybe it is time to shut down. This is the type of business that Leslieville does not need. Why would anyone support such an awful businessman and his antics? Have you read of all the comments on here? How could you condone what he is doing? Stephan has been given the benefit of the doubt more once by more than one, two, three people. He has shown NO respect for his customers, so why should anyone give it to him? And yes it can be tricky with businesses, but guess what it is called customer service. And if a business is "tricky", especially an independent one, it does not survive. Bad business ethics are not acceptable no matter if it is a local shop or a big box store. I heard that he is sick and that is unfortunate but there is no excuse for treating customers like shi$! It is time for Stephan to shut the doors for good.

Permalink Reply by FLIK and COMPANY on June 4, 2010 at 8:40am Billy, here's the deal!
Our problem is not about a couch! This guy bought merchandise from us that he sold for a profit, and do not misunderstand, the products are sold. We also went out of way to ship a large plush toy to him (which he said was for his son) and we did not receive payment. Imagine the level of integrity here..buying toys for your children and not paying for them. We are a small business and $2500 is a signficant amount of money to us.

It is not that he did not provide, art, cabinets or anything else it is or at least seems to be all from one supplier? Did any of you actually do research on the supplier that he dealt with? so even if half to three quarters of the people got couches now and from what I see there is only 2 others outstanding - is the issue Steven or the supply chain?

But if you think that is proper, I have many things I'd like to sell to you. Only 90% deposit, and I will deliver in the very near future. Somehow I think you won't take that up. Even children know when they're shafted.
To Billy: Your experience with Flik was the way business is supposed to work. Glad that happened. He's been stealing from other people. Shouldn't you be questioning Flik then? Your experience is mutually exclusive from the theft he's pulled on many people. Or are others supposed to ride your fine experience with him? That paves the way for recurring theft? You honestly think people will listen to you and just give up their money?
Nobody cares about his ex-husband. Life sucks. Get on with it. Honestly I couldn't give a flying fark who he's involved with, and what they do.
Nobody cares about his alleged paralysis (interesting he's not there to work for a handful of days when he's paralyzed, but I'll skip that joke).
Nobody cares about anything that might take him away from his fiscal responsibilities to clients that BECOME clients the minute he takes a cent from them, for anything.
You think his ex-husband's stories "gave something" to Leslieville? You really need to get out more often. Business sets precedence, not one person. People get leadership for business from all kinds of sources.
What you consider nonsense is the foundation for putting this lunatic in jail. If you can't run a company, it's closing time. Perhaps you missed that. Oh, but wait. I lost 4 family members all within 8 months. I think you should donate lots of cash to me. Hey, I'll put it into BlogTO for you. Sound like a good time? And I got some ex-girlfriends that would completely eclipse his little made-up stories.
What's a pluther and where do I get one?
Apparently he pays nobody but himself. Oh right, and his paralysis doctor. And you, maybe.
And yes, I do want him to close. Forever. I want all people like him to go away. Forever. He's a menace. He's what people call a thief.
Your house has nothing to do with it. Your experience has nothing to do with it. Your emotions, ironically, drive you to write this drivel. Pathetic. Now go to the library at Dundas & Jones and pick up a book on basic business. Then you will understand how irrelevant your posting is. Yes, it's your opinion, and you stand tall and strong behind it, and it's all fun emotional volition, but it means absolutely nothing.
You know what gets me? That people actually support this Flik guy on grounds that have nothing to do with the reality of the situation. He's a thief.
You want something positive, Billy? He will get sued. He will get put in jail for fraud. He will go away. And someone will move in and do some normal, responsible business. Actually, this thread is completely constructive on a problem that is very real. That alone is positive. It's been sniffed by search engines and other people have not had their money stolen. That is positive. It also reiterates the expectations by consumers and what should be discussed about rotten people like Flik. That is pure positive.
The only right thing to do is for him to pay people back or give them what they paid for. Not to whine about his "issues". He's a thief until he makes it right. All of them. Every single one of them.
And I'm with Greig. I too have never heard any gossip. All I have heard is positive information about all kinds of people and places here in Leslieville. All this positivity...is simply overwhelming.

Permalink Reply by cindy on June 4, 2010 at 9:30am this is my last time to reply to anything on this thread.
Yes I did some mistakes - yes Cindy had 2 cheques that bounced and there was reasons that she knew about as did I when it happened - yes it has taken some time to make it right - and yes I did get a confirmation email from Scotia saying she got another payment - yes I will make it right.
Ana and Nicole will have their money back or couches their choice - ( couches if the supplier actually responds to me- which he has not but also to a lot of other small companies - it seems our business is not needed in his world)
Rick Smith - whoever you are - re read yur emails from Dave Bradley - it said that we could pay when we had the time. So You too will get payment - as far as me being parilyzed - I had a small stroke - I have a 26 mm blood clot in my brain and have been in treatment for it. Yes it is concerning - but you know all of this with threats sent in email are a litte more concerning. Threads and Blogs like this should be shut down when it becomes personal. I have no issues in airing my dirty laundry so to speak but when emails come to my personal address saying I am better off dead - now come on....
This will all be resolved - I have taken steps to initiate and correct my errors. But I need to get back to work in order to do so and it is not easy when you listen to all of this..I have had issues with my ex yes and yes all the money we earned last year went directly to him as he had more issues then I ever knew - we are lucky to have anything as I could have lost it all. So yes I had to make choices of who to pay and when in order to feed the family that is first and foremost in my life...No if;s and's or but's - they will always come first - but as I write on this blog for the last time I will make it right - you can see there was resolution with people and there is only a few left. -it might take a little bit of time - but it will be made right
