Hey Leslieville,

It's Sunday and I'm sat in the cafe enjoying the free wifi and looking at the disgusting mess all over the pavement of Dundas and Logan. Yesterday was such a tease, I wore a spring coat, galoshes even! Took the dog to the park, and didn't need gloves! And now today the slush has taken over leslieville, and sunken the tone of Sunday. Those of us who would have hoped to be washing our cars this morning were instead begrudgedly shoveling the sidewalk. Instead of taking the pup for a leasurly stroll through the neighborhood before tucking into a sunday brunch, we take the path of least sludgy resistance, keeping the dog on the fresh snow and avoiding the pits of grey/brown slush that have half melted and become those darling little lakes that the pedestrians of Toronto have come to love and expect at the dawn of the spring season.

I suppose I'm lucky though, I'm in a warm cafe... with Nick Drake playing and a hot americano with cream and honey. Not to mention the perma-summer thing we have going on in here. There's a bucket of fresh daisies up against the white picket fence, paper butterflies dangling from birch trees and pots of daffodils blooming on the table in front of me. Spring is coming, but not soon enough!

If your out there Leslievillers, and your singing the blues about the weather like me...

What would you be doing today if it were +10 degrees?

What are you doing instead?

If you don't feel like talking then come by the cafe and pick up some flowers to brighten your home and get you in the mood for spring. Or just come and keep me company!

In answer to my own question, if it were +10 degrees I would have our big garage door open! I'd be sitting on the patio with my dog!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I love you guys but this should be posted on a Plan B blog rather than in "Community News".  =)
Hmmm... sorry, new to this thing. Just wanted to start a discussion about the weather.
If you go to Blogs and then click "My Blog" you'll see the place where you can start up a Plan B blog.  I wouldn't worry about it; there's a pile of stuff in "Community News" that really should be moved to Classifieds.
