GREAT new cafe on Gerrard - Andrea's Gerrard Street Bakery

Just back from a soggy walk but while out stumbled across a real gemof a bakery/cafe right in Chinatown at 635 Gerrard St E. So nice to see this addition to the hood. Cannot wait to try a scone this weekend. Menu has sandwiches, cakes, cookies, scones, etc. and if the cocnut cream pie I just induldged in is any indication of the rest of the goods then this place is a gem not to be missed.

Andrea was the head pastry and dessert chef at Brad Long's Cafe Belong at the Evergreen Brick Works.  She was the brilliant baker who made those AMAZING scones (literally the best scones I've ever had in my whole life.  I used to bring visitors to try her scones because they are so good), and now she does them for a fraction of the price the Brickworks used to charge; lucky for us in Leslieville!
