Someone told me of a great upholsterer near Queen and Jones in a tiny little store front with a sign above that says "It's My Party" (which is not connected to the upholsterer). Even though I have been all along Queen from Logan to Kingston Rd. I can't find it.CAN ANYONE HELP? I would be most grateful! M

It's My Party is on the south side of Queen Street, a few steps east of Queen.  I believe it is a white sign.  It's next door to a framing shop as well as Orly Designs, a clothing store.

The store is called "Cry if I Want To".  You were on the right track!  It's just west of Queen and Rushbrooke. Next to the Laundromat and Dorly Designs.

There's an upholsterer that works out of the store? Good to know. They're lovely, and very generous people and I don't otherwise find enough reasons to use their business.

If that doesn't work out, Shauntelle at Ethel (nearby) works with Princess Perfect, who also does a fantastic job:

Hi Snowy,
ThAnk you for responding to my query about "I'ts My Party"
You mentioned that it was on the south side of Queen..a few steps east of Queen
Did you mean another street instead?
Thanks Mary.

There is a guy on the northwest corner of Gerrard and Logan with a sign outside that reads simply "Upholstery."  His shop is quite cluttered but he did an excellent job restoring two antique chairs of mine.

I don't know anything about an upholsterer there, but Cry if I Want To is on Queen, just east of Jones.

Could it be the "Cry if I Want to" store? the line is from the same song plus this is a decor store.  1175 Queen East...south side of Queen E at the base of Jones.

I haven't been on this site often enough.  Thanks for the lovely comments guys.  We don't do upholstery but we do work with a supplier who will do custom chairs and loveseats.  Stay tuned, we should have an awesome sample in store shortly.

Mary, I hope you found your upholsterer.  The only place on Queen E that I know of that does upholstery is McFab Home. They do amazing work on their headboards so I would certainly trust them to do upholstery work for me.

Best of luck.

Rochelle
