I am wondering what people in Leslieville are using as their internet provider? I'm currently using Rogers but I'd to see what others are using. I have to upload lots files for clients and I'm constantly going over my quota with Rogers. I'm also curious what neighbourhoods are using what service, as it seems to impact performance. I'm looking for something that allows more that 100GB/month.
Thanks!

Permalink Reply by Bob Gundu on October 18, 2011 at 9:41pm So, does Teksavvy require a regular phone line? I think I originally went with Rogers because the phone lines in my house were not working. In any case it's probably still cheaper to go with Teksavvy and get the lines all fixed.
Thanks for all the feedback!
Permalink Reply by Egg Flik on October 20, 2011 at 5:04am Ah, my mobile post didn't make it in here.
It's called a dry loop, where there is no phone line. Teksavvy can take care of that for you, even if it needs repairing, etc. Ask them about it.
Also, regarding Tomato, that's only for multiple DSL lines. It's a bonding system that does load balancing. So unless you have multiple DSLs or Cables (only Teksavvy can support Tomato), then yer out of luck.

Permalink Reply by Avery on October 21, 2011 at 9:21am Bob - if DSL (dry loop or otherwise) is a problem, Teksavvy also has cable internet.
They have pretty great customer service - if you give them a call and explain your situation, I'm sure they can help you with a solution. I don't usually rave about companies, but I really do love Teksavvy and have had excellent service with them.
