Hi everyone.  Just like another member a week or so ago, our Landlord has decided to list our home.  Which means that after 7 years of being better than great tenants we will need to move.  It has come as a shock to ourselves and the young guy who has the other unit. So if anyone knows of, or has a unit for rent, let me know please.  We love our Boston Ave home, and my lovingly tended gardens that I planted will be missed.  We need to stay in the area, and would prefer a 1or 2 bedroom with outdoor space.  We are both employed long term, and have never been a minute late with rent.  We moved into a long vacant unit, with a porch and yard littered with used needles and condoms, and  built a fence and brought in yards of soil and turned an abandoned space into our oasis.  Please email me at garygood@ rogers.com if you know of anything.  Thanks everyone.  Gary and Raymond

Hi Gary I'm sorry your landlord is selling and you'll be forced to move. You did a lovely job of your back garden! I hope you and Raymond find another great place to live in the neighbourhood!

Just a thought - Have you considered buying privately from your landlord? Maybe jointly with the other tenant or becoming landlords yourself? Sometimes it's more accessible than you think and more affordable once you remove the agent's commission.

You did such beautiful work on that yard. You obviously love the place. I hope you find somewhere in the neighbourhood....hopefully somewhere I walk by so I can admire the yard.

Sorry to hear you'll be leaving us on Boston - I'm sure you won't miss the activity at the Tasty Chicken though.  Best of luck finding a new place, will let you know if I hear of anything.
he bought the unit years ago at just over 300,000 and is hoping to get closer to 800,000  he needs the financing, because he has apparently bought another property, but has now over extended himself.  I  am sure  that it is outside of our ability to finance the home, even with a co purchaser.  Thank you for the comments, and if you here of anything let me know.

He's kidding himself if he thinks he can get $800 for your place.  More like $650 tops based on selling prices for houses of a similar size on the street.
Jen, please don't forget the value of excellent chicken, just down the street.  Factored in, maybe that could mean $150,000 in a final price of a home.  And a pawn shop as well.  These places bring ultimate value to the hood.  When in dire need for cash, just pop on over to the pawn shop and they'll turn anything you can find into hard cash, even if what you sell to them isn't yours!  Is that convenient or what?  Hehe.
