I just read about the Little Free Library that has been operating in the Beaches. I want this for Leslieville! What a great way to share a love of books and build community.
If no one is currently looking into this, I will go ahead and contact Bill Wrigley to discuss. I would like to know if the rest of the Leslieville community is interested and if so, where would you suggest the free library find a home?

This is an awesome idea! I live on Greenwood and am open to putting one in my front yard. Last week I found a Jodi Picoult book left in the free magazine box at the corner...I am inclined to think the previous owner (of the book) had the same idea :P

I love this idea and would gladly host one on my front yard (as small as it is). We live near Bruce Public School. I also love libraries and my home branch is at Saulter and I've been wondering how in the heck, in this environment of budget cuts, I can help it be transformed to as nice as the S.F. Walter Library up near Mortimer and Coxwell. That library's kid section is absolutely amazing and it makes me a little sad that we don't have something comparable here in Leslieville.
Thanks for sharing this.
Kirsty
