Looking for a GOOD roofer

The only people we could find to do a job for us on short notice is a company called roof-all and they got less then favorable reviews. We need somebody ASAP!!!

I totally second J. Asselin recommendation for flat roofs. He did a rush job on mine for a good price and then came back the following year to repair (and rebuild) my bay window roof which had disintegrated. Saw a "for sale" sign in front of their place though when I was driving by recently. Anyone know what that is about?

We would recommend Alpine Roofing http://www.alpineroofing.ca/contactus.php - they did a great job on our house and our garage and they send a professional and fast team who clean up after themselves well.

I had our roof totally repaired and shingled in the Spring by Glen Park Roofing. m I had watched them in the summer of 09 repair/re-shingle the roof of some condo townhouses behind us. The work was impeccable. I made arrangements with them to do our roof in the spring.

Owners name is Manny Da Silva. Couldn't have been a better choice.

They arrived when they said they would, cleaned up every day - I mean totally cleaned. As with many of the older homes here you don't really know the problems until you expose whats underneath. We found lots of wood that needed replacing. Squirrel mansions that needed to be blocked permanently...etc. He did all the work and the quote did not change with the exception of changing the downspouts away from the basement walls into the weeping tiles. It was a bit more for completely replacing all the eavestroughing

Workers were polite and very friendly.

DO NOT TRY ASSELIN!!! Aweful customer service, and they do not honour their warranties!!! Our flat roof was done by them 6 years ago and it is GARBAGE! We just had it redone by another company. The owner is EVIL. He yelled at my husband before giving him a chance to talk. He told another woman that he does not "deal with housewives". Nice. I went through the Better Business Bureau with complaints about them and believe me, I was not the only one. Check out homestars.com for reviews on ANY contractor before you use them.

I am very sorry to hear that your estimate did not arrive - That isn't good business practice. I would not assume Barnyards did not need the work as they are a small business. I know Matt personally and can say that he is a great guy with solid business ethics - I am guessing he forgot to get the estimate to you in time, or that something chaotic came up.

Just an FYI for anyone else looking for a roofer. We ended up also using Roof-All. Great guys, great job, fair price.
