I have signed a lease with a local who will be opening a relaxed, Irish style pub in the space. This was a long time coming, but is a great fit for the building and that block. She lives on Pape, and has years of experience.

It will likely have a bar in the front room, and then more dining in the middle room (the snug) and the back.

More soon!

Carl.

Hey All,  being stroller-free is not the same as kid-free.  I don't enjoy going out for a drink or a meal if there are 10 strollers parked inside.  Leave your stroller or wagon locked outside, that's what we do.   We take out kids out to eat A LOT.

So, NTTH, we might be seeing you, maybe even be sitting beside you, causing a ruckus, and being cute.  And maybe, you might even get smiled at by one of those kids, which will no doubt send you into a Baroness Bomburst anti-child hissy fit.  :)

They just put their sign up. It's Called McQueen's Pub. Hopefully they are planning on opening early in the new year.

Where did all these Irish come from?  (I know you're dying to say "Ireland")

Has anyone eaten there yet?

Yes, the food is quite good, though they have a limited menu while there are just getting off the ground.  I know the plan is to have a more extensive menu, including brunches on the weekends.  It really is a great space, especially if you enjoy watching 'the game'

good food, kind of a weird layout and way to bright for a pub, those home depot fixtures need some dimmers. some more heat in the middle section would help too make it more cozy as well.
