I asked next door and they're saying mid-January opening. So long to wait!
I hope it's not a cookie cutter pub.  I really nope it's authentic and run by people.

Hey, Lara! I passed by the location on the way to work and wanted to find out more about it, and found your post here! Small world, I suppose. And I could have sworn I saw you at the Fox and Fiddle last night, too.

There's not much info yet, but I'm always looking forward to a new pub, with a bit more than the standard Lager selections and one stout. It would be nice to see some local beers, or the very least, craft beers.

Shouldnt advertise a website that doesnt exsist, strike one McGugan.....

Website's up!

http://www.mcgugans.com/#  - Opening January 25th!

McGugans grand opening has been rescheduled and is not tomorrow. Check out their site for more info. I walked by today and looks like it may take another week or two to finish.

Thriftiness, eh?  Heh.  I have a story about buying a pint for a pub manager in his own pub.

Actually I know the Scots (Edinburgh, at least) for their cleanliness.  Auld Reekie.

Stopped in last night for the soft opening, this place is going to be great. Although as a Scottish pub they really need to get some Belhaven in there.

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
