Gastro Pub in the old Barrio space? Interesting. I've seen the work going on at the Pop Bistro space - I believe its going to be called Le Rossignol. French Bistro I presume? Anyone have any idea when they're due to open? Always happy to see new dining options in the hood.

Also, it looks like that Papa Sol take-out Italian sandwich place that was supposed to open (beside the old Funeral Home space on the south side of Queen, just east of Broadview) has bitten the dust. There's a big "For Rent" sign on the space, and I haven't noticed any work going on there for a while. Anyone know the story there?

I think the old Pop space is aiming for November 1st.

I've heard that the man who bought the funeral home and 717 1/2 owns the Papa Sol in the beaches.....
The 717 1/2 space (defunct papa sols) is such a unique and fantastic space with a nice apartment attached. I hope someone finds a use for it!

The macaroons at Bobette & Belle are phenomenal - we tried them yesterday

It looks like a Boston Pizza is opening up at Leslie & Lakeshore (South Plaza beside the TD Bank on Leslie). It should be opening soon (booths are already installed, Liquor licence application in the window).
