Thanks for the post.  Super exciting!  I look forward to its opening and trying Dan's cuisine.  It'll be neat to see how he uses the space too =)

'GLAS' new restaurant on its way on Queen St at former 'Frankly Eatery' location.

Here's what's posted on its front window:

Anyone know what the building under construction is going to be on the South side of Gerrard near Coxwell? It had a mural of construction workers with signs they read 'the medium is the message' for some months but now that more construction is underway there is a large picture of a red pegasus with a horn.

Any one have any reviews on the new pub in the old Toast location?

I recently checked out Hitch. It is a great spot - a very welcome addition to the 'hood!!!

I've been to McQueens 3 times so far and really like it.  It's kind of a soft opening right now so the menu will be expanding but so far I've had the chili, nachos, chicken wings and curry.  The meat in the curry was a little dry but besides that everything else was good.

I really enjoyed the place.  The TV's in the first two rooms are well placed and not intrusive if you are looking for more of a pub experience but they are big enough and in the right places if you are trying to watch a game or some highlights while you're out for a pint with a non sports fan.  As for the big TV in the back room, I haven't checked it out for a game yet.

Suffice it to say, I'll be a regular I'm sure.

Hey m b. - Equally as intrigued about the Gerrard and Coxwell 'pegasus'. Something new, can only be an improvement!
Does anyone know what happened to The East Ender? It closed the same way Tomi Kro did (glasses still on the table)...

The food was good although the menu needed to evolve and grow as it was pretty limited.

Has anyone checked out Blackout, in the flatiron building at at Dundas and Carlaw?

Noticed two new additions coming to the 'hood:

Braised
Braised.ca
896 queen street east...in the old Rossignol space
Opens Fri July 4

Queens Pub
1212 queen street east...in the old Eastender/Tomi Kro space

Pretty excited for both!
Dos anyone know what is going in the old PicNic wine bar space?

Leslieville Local Business Marketing - 10 ways to use TheLeslieviller.com

Posted by Nolin (Admin) on February 3, 2011 at 12:00pm 4 Comments

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
