we take our son to the optometrist in Gerrard Square. He is very nice.

Technically on the Danforth, but of such outstanding service I had to mention it: Great Glasses on the Danforth. I've been loyal since becoming a customer in Hamilton ten years ago. This new location I believe is run by the son of the original owners. When he moved in and renovated the space, he sourced as much as possible locally.

A friend of the family owns Optic Zone at front and Jarvis. Not exactly in the area but definitely worth the visit. His fitting skills and his ability to match glasses to your face are amazing.

I would suggest Modern Optical on Danforth near Broadview - close to Leslieville and well worth the visit for glasses - 2 doors away is optometrist Vivien Chan - she is great too!
