I'm planning on having my two nephews here for a week and am looking for some kind of camp or activity for them to do during the day while I'm working. I'd like something that is reasonably priced and in the hood - reachable by walking or bike. Any and all suggestions would be great!
What week it is is also very flexible.
They're 8 and 12 years old, both are active and creative so a sports or art camp would be fine.
Thanks!
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

I'm running two camps this July in Leslieville that might interest you. One is a creative arts camp and another is a theatre camp. You can take a look at descriptions of the camps here: http://www.youngminds.ca/camp.html

Elissa (who is running the camps with me) and I are both very enthusiastic Ontario Certified Teachers. We have been working together for years at various arts camps and after school programs in the Toronto area and this is our first time running a summer camp in Leslieville. We just finished running a very successful music program at Morse St. School and we're very passionate about quality arts education for kids.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Can I chime in to say that the parents and students of Morse Street School have nothing but great things to say about Johanna and Elissa and their Young Minds Early Learning Centre, and I imagine their camp will be awesome?! They worked hard to put on a three-part music program (where nothing similar had existed previously) in our school, and it was custom-tailored for each grade - and the parents liked it so much many of us are working to bring them back for an after school program?
