T-Ball or Softball league in or around Riverdale, leslieville, beaches area

Hi,

A couple month back I been searching for the T-ball league for my son, I remember that their one on Greenwood park but can't get in touch with them, further more on the research also have a mention aboot Leslieville Baseball league, this one too seem to disappear. In order for me to get my son to play the classic summer sport I have to go to Birchmount park.

I just wondering if we have enough interest maybe we can start the new league next year. I am not professional sport organised but willing to give it a try.

Please let me know of your input.

Hi Kora, I did the same kind of search, and there wasn't much around here. My 6-year-old is now playing at East York. It is an extremely well-run league with a lot of parent support. (I think we had seven coaches for 13 players last night.) All games are at Cosburn and Woodbine.

It has a different wrinkle than T-ball - your first five pitches are from a pitch machine, and if you don't hit that (which not many do yet), they bring out the tee.

The Leslieville baseball team actually hasn't been running for a while as they couldn't get enough players. If you want to get your son into baseball, you can contact East Toronto Baseball association which is the closest to us. I do know that Radcliffe (Coach for the Bantam Team) has been trying to get something started again in Leslieville and would appreciate the assistance on the administrative side. His team practices on Greenwood park but I'm not too sure what days. If Leslieville can get enough children, then we can have our team back again.
