What are peoples' thoughts on the federal by-election in our riding? What do you think of the NDP guy? The Lib advertising guy? Hey we can't just talk about new restaurants and our dogs all the time on here, right?

This is a privacy concern as well as a major annoyance. Any idea which party is responsible?
Permalink Reply by kellytoronto on March 19, 2012 at 7:47pm I got self-identified green robocalls as well as another anonymous one. A bit of a dearth of good options in this election, I'm afraid.
Permalink Reply by Leslie Barns on March 20, 2012 at 3:12am Register with the appropriate system to not be bothered. I've had zero calls.
If anybody is not happy with this, then robo-call those morons back. Serves you kids right for supporting these self-serving morons from the beginning. These fools behave like high-school nerds. There was a day when people got voted in because of their values. Today, politicians use every stupid tactic well past a midnight infomercial, which means breaking even our own phone advertising rules. Their ugly signs are out everywhere, their self-centered junk which they never deliver upon, not to mention their complete lack of financials, only delivers what should be expected. It's horrible.
35% showed up to vote. And you wonder why?
Oh, and what's even better, is that most politico-types are indeed amongst us. Reading through this thread thinking it's OK for them to insist so much about social behaviour, but to remain quiet in here, yet use this as some kind of platform for their needs. Bunch of conveniently silent social people. How convenient. Insist on legislation to tax the neighbours, show up at voting stations out front to sell their ignorant drugs, yet remain silent when accused of the decades-long bullshit hits the capitalist-funded fan that supports all the sad programs.
Then again, what else is new? Well, all those outside the actual socialist politicians of this ward, who yet hide in another. How convenient to demand that other people give, while you insist on mastering the take.
Sad. Pure sad. Mothership never landing.

Permalink Reply by Leslie Barns on March 20, 2012 at 11:41am Oh I apologize. I'm not allowed to be up at 4am? I work for myself and am often up at that time, getting work done. I apologize if I don't fit into your definition of the average consumer.
I have to run. I'm on the phone with someone who says the Central Reference Library is empty and useless. Outdated and EOL.
Canadians are sheeple, satisfied to be average. Robocalling is just another embarrassment. I'm sure you like it.

Oh right, I'm up yet again overnight. Shame on me. Santa won't be visiting my house.
