So 3 guys are sitting at the bar at Ceili Cottage tongiht.  I have had a couple pints downtown, and want to partake in the Cask event which appears at CC.  I sit down. Yammer on with the staff, talk about the event, what fine cask ales have been presented, etc.

I get chatting with the first guy beside me, who happens to be from New Brunswick.  I say that I've studied out there at some point in my life, and that I love it out there.  He tells me his two other buddies are from K/W (Kitchener/Waterloo) and that they are visiting the neighbourhood.

So I have three guys from out of town beside me at Ceili Cottage during a Cask Ale event.  All of them seem like nice guys, want to chat it up with me.  They're staring at some curly haired chic down the bar, coupled with comments like "wow, she's remarkable", etc.  They say she's much better looking than the chics than earlier on in the evening.  I obviously ask them where they have been.  They indicate they were at Jillies, and I quickly educate them on the status of the place, and it's rank amongst Toronto's peeler joints.  I'm no expert, but every village member knows where to not drink the village water.  Laughter ensues, we all come to an agreement that this is a remarkable part of the recent past.

They continue to tell me that they left Jillies to get a pint under more reasonable circumstances.  They walk into "another place".  I asked them which place they chose, but they didn't know the name of this new pub.  They said there were yuppies everywhere, and that a woman came out of the back and said "Oh very cute, guys".  They finished their pints and left, not really knowing what she meant.

They walked into Ruby Watch Co. when it was full, for a pint.

I laughed for about 10 minutes, told them about the place, etc.

LOL! Great story, Egg!
That's funny! At least they didn't call her "babe"!
Hahaha. Almost defines the east side. Little bit of everything. For better or for worse! Wonder if I was the curly haired girl at the end of the bar, hahaha. Wait, I was there Friday. Darn!
