Hi everyone. Desperately looking for help/advice for one of my cats. I have a 6-7 year old Male who's had some anxiety/trouble adapting to my little one (who's now 2). He has been spraying in the house for 2 years now. Comes and goes in waves, he does have his favourite spots to go (that i clean with home made remedy to help get rid of the smell), he also is pretty targeted i.e. he'll spray my pillow, he sprayed me when i was nursing ruby when she was little, and he sprays her toys.  He is neutered. He is an outdoors cat (so it's happening a lot now bc it's cold outside and he can't go out as often) We have another cat as well (female that he's never had any issues with).  Any helpful advice/tips? i've tried a lot of natural remedies (comfort zone diffusers, sprays, Head to Tail calming treats) and the vet recommended prozac awhile ago. Let me know if you have any advice! he is one of my babies and i'm at a loss as to how to comfort him.

Just got this great news!

As a follow up to responsible pet ownership week, we are happy to announce that the Toronto Humane Society will be offering a microchip clinic to members of the public.

Sunday June 10th, from 9am -5pm, the THS will implant and register a microchip for every owned companion animal (dog or and cat) that is brought to the shelter. Members of the public will be required to complete a registration form and sign that they are the owner of the pet. At the time of implant, we will also register the chip with the microchip carrier. The cost is 20$. First come first served, no appointment required, to be held at the intake desk.

Does anyone have tips on where to get nemotodes that kill fleas?  Leslieville has a huge flea problem.

We found a cat! "Pumpkin" is about a year old, in good shape (nice shiny coat, bright eyes), and very chill. She was found behind a dumpster with no tags and no microchip. Give us a call or visit the queen west store. 416-203-6789 or

Dont know of a kennel but I have a great cat sitter. She's looked after our cats for years --- like 12-15 years.    She comes 2X a day and spends time in the house with the kitties, playing with them and brushing them and hanging out. Totally dependable.   If you want her contacts - email me

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
