Have they found Sebastien the 4 month old pug puppy?  I still see signs.

Jackson is looking for a forever home. His owner writes:

"Jackson is 4 years old. He loves to chase sticks and balls and bring them back which I think is retriever like. He loves the water and is a good swimmer. He is a good watch dog and barks if a stranger comes to the door which I think is Sheppard like. He loves people though. My cousin came the other day and he was very friendly to him. I have a granddaughter too whom he is fine with as well.

He loves to ride in the car and has been on some 2 to 3 hour trips with no problems.

He had an interrupted training but he responds to sit, down, shake a paw, stand, leave it, got to your bed ( crate), stay and come...come is not always consistent. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate all night with no problems.

We have invisible fencing at our place so he is off leash here most of the time. When I take him for a walk he is best on leash. We are on a major road and I would not trust him to stay with me off leash.

He has no health issues. He broke his leg as a puppy (hence the interrupted training)...we don't know how this happened. So he has an iron rod in his 1 hind leg. This only bothers him on the coldest days so we keep him in if it is very cold. It doesn't stop him running and playing etc."

If anyone is looking for something fun to do with their dogs this summer, I just got back from a one-day intro to canoeing trip geared for dogs and their people. It was with www.dogpaddlingadventures.com and I highly recommend it. My dog loved it and my mom's normally timid dog was excited, outgoing and loving her new canine friends.

poor Mavis... I'm so sorry to hear about your situation... I had a similar incident walking my dog down the street the other night. A neighbour was taking his dog out for a walk (off-leash) and the dog came barking and charging my dog who was very much on leash! My dog was actually the larger of the two, but he is so timid, it really set him back in what has been very successful progress until now. Please everyone leash your dogs!

Hope everyone had a great time at WOOFSTOCK this weekend - I sure had a blast watching all the dogs frolic in the water fountains!

@Sundog Pet Services - you may actually remember Mavis, if you're Scott from Sundog.  We took your puppy socialization class in late 2010.
