ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE MAYFAIR RAQUET AND FITNESS CLUB? ARE YOU INTERESTED IN EXERCISE CLASSES FOR NEW MOM'S AND BABIES ? ??

I have been talking with the Mayfair about the possibility of doing a MEMBERS ONLY  Baby and Me Fitness class.  It would be a one hour workout that you attend with  your baby.  They are interested in talking about it if there are enough members interested.  They need a total of 8 to 10 people to run a class.  If this interests you please contact me.

Please note that the Mayfair will NOT open the class to non- members.  I have already asked the question and it was a definite no.  Kindly reply only if  you are already a memer at the Mayfair.

Feel free to include in your response what kind of class you are interested in.  I am putting forward the idea of a traditional exercise class that will have a cardio component of some kind, a muscle conditioning, abdominal work and some yoga/stretching elements.  Also include in your response the times that work best for you and baby and I will present it all to the Mayfair.

Thanks

Hi there,

I may be interested, depending on the details (e.g. if the class leans towards yoga-ish exercises and the time/day the class is offered). I am a member. My baby is 6 months old.

Good luck!

Hi there, Kimberley:

I am a member of Mayfair and can tell you that there are very few members at the club now, who are pregnant. If you rely on members only, I don't think your idea will fly.
Aside from that, Moms who work out tend to run in, quickly park their kids in the daycare, pick them up and run to their cars. Well, o.k. a few might linger in the restaurant with their buddies for a bit. From my perspective & twenty years experience here, this is a wonderful idea but not for Mayfair. Besides, most of the membership (yes there are a few exceptions) are past their child-making years. Hope this helps!
Good luck.

thanks for your response. we are not looking for pregnant moms. we are looking for mom's with babies that want to bring their babies to class with them. we need only a very small number 8 and so far we have 5 - so we just might make it. there are still ladies having babies at the mayfair!!

I would also be interested. Not sure what times would work for me but keep me posted! I think it's a great idea.
Kimberley,
I think I am the other person you refer to in your intro message. But if not, I am definitely interested.
Cheers,
Lori
Kimberley,
Do you think the Mayfair would allow us to post a notice on the board inside the women's change room re: this topic? There are likely many women there who might be interested in such a class but are not part of the Leslieviller?
Lori
I think its a great idea. I have been in touch with the fitness manager who says he will advertise at he gym. I will check in with him and recommend he posts in the change room. Thanks Lori I really hope it happens and soon!!! One of the Mayfair's fitness managers just had a baby so she may be totally into it!
