I noticed a few Leslievillers asking about pediatricians in the area. I am about to give birth and have failed to secure one as of yet. I guess we could also be looking for a family health clinic nearby. Any suggestions?

We use the Bridgepoint Family Health Team and they are fabulous.  Virtually no wait times, and you can get appointments easily.  I'm not sure if they are taking on new patients right now, but I think they recently brought on a new physician to their team.  Good luck!

Hi, I was in the same situation (no one was accepting new babies) and called Bridgepoint Family Health on Broadview, just north of Gerrard.  They were accepting new patients at the time (ours is Dr. Vadya).  It is close, you never wait in line and if you do need to see a specialist, they will refer you right away.  They are an amazing team of doctors and nurses and they have an after hours clinic.  In my opinion, you do not need a pediatrician (especially if it is a challenge to get one).  We were sent to a pediatrician by Dr. Vadya (my son was not gaining weight well).  When I was in the pediatrician's office, I thanked my luck for having a family doctor...the office was so busy, there were small sick children crying everywhere, the wait was long...So, here is a pediatrician story for you - the place was on the Danforth.  Good luck!

Thank you Kate and Amelia. I'm very happy to  hear your great reviews of Bridgepoint FH. Another friend of mine also suggested this centre. I'll call today.

Yay!

We were referred to the pediatricians office for Dr. Do, Dr. Neelands and Dr. Saunderson's office, which is at Broadview and Danforth. The three doctors work as a team, and while you have one main doctor that your child is assigned to, the other two will see your child if your primary is not available.  We've been thrilled so far with the care our daughter has received - very reassuring at each healthy baby appointment, and when we've had to pop in for fever or anything else, we've been well taken care of.  There is an occasional wait, but the receptionists are very kind, and there is a hallway that the kids can blow off steam in (plus avoid the other germs).  We needed a rush referral to a specialist, and got one right away.   For what it's worth - the girlfriend that referred me to Dr. Do works at Sick Kids, so she knows her health care!
