Baby on the way? Join bebo mia's upcoming Prenatal Yoga & Birth Prep class at OMA Chiropractic - 1 Munro Street (Queen/Broadview).

Thursdays, May 31st – July 5th, 7:00 – 8:30pm

This fun and unique, 6 week program combines a nurturing 60 minute yoga practice with 30 minutes of candid discussion about pregnancy and birth. Compile a toolkit of postures, breathing techniques, attitudes and knowledge to support you in what might be the most challenging and rewarding work of your life. Ease the aches while you build stamina and connect to your mama bear strength. Seize quiet moments to tune inward and bond with your baby. A rejuvenating flow of poses will help your body adapt to the demands of growing a person. Then we'll get cozy and talk about the things that frighten, frustrate, baffle and excite you.

Topics include:
- But what about sushi? (prenatal nutrition and health)
- How will I know when "it's time"?
- It's called labour for a reason. (tools & coping)
- It's not at all like pushing an orange out your nostril! (pushing stage)
- Now what!? (life with a newborn)
- In the final class, you'll share your yoga practice with your partner or another support person. We'll learn massage techniques, review different positions for labour, and talk about how your birth partner can best have your back on that big day (& beyond!)
