Another dog owner here, too. I recommend we all try to bring our doggie bags home and put them in our own green bins. That's not always possible, but it least it doing what we can helps stem the overflow in public garbage bins.

Thought I'd pass this along. A very interesting presentation to council on how to preserve city recreation services. For me, I'm one those folks who would rather take a tax increase than shut down programs. That ain't gonna happen under the current administration — but this guy, Mark Richardson, has a good idea to keep stuff afloat that may be more palatable to the fiscal hawks on council.
