Spanish Mondays @ Cream-learn, practice, expose?

HI!Before beginning my little business in Leslieville, I was a Spanish teacher & language researcher focusing on child and adult bilingualism at U of T; I am passionate about introducing language to anyone interested in learning, and especially to little ones who can benefit so greatly overtime from exposure to a 2nd, 3rd, etc language. My question is: would any moms or dads be interested in a having a "Spanish Mondays" in the late morning? We would do 2 things: first a guided lesson…See More

Come on by and try some this weekend and pick up a pint to take home! Then, start ordering it in…See More

Toronto Life, Cream & crepes

Hi all! The Toronto Life guide is a great start to the neighbourhood (although would have liked to see some long-time "pioneers" on the list like Altitude & Hello Toast? & a REAL pioneer--Hastings Snack Bar!!!). Want to just clear up the info included in that guide that CREPES are "coming soon".Their launch had been planned for August 15th, but with all the hype of the last week or so, we've had to delay to get our kitchen in order.HOWEVER, on the list so far for SWEET: banana &…See More

Honeysuckle Garden open at Cream-IT'S kid-friendly!!!

Posted on July 10, 2009 at 11:30am 5 Comments

The garden is open for those who want a flowery space to enjoy ice cream, smoothies, frappes, coffee drinks, ice cream sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, fruit, WHATEVER! Haven't had a chance to string the lights and so may be eerily dark in the evening with candles, but the aroma of honeysuckle is greatest at that time of day and it's awesome...reminds us of our sojourns to the mountains in the south of Spain....come join us (the garden gets great morning and early afternoon sun!)! OH YEAH, look for… Continue

You asked we did it! Non-dairy flavours at CREAM!

Posted on July 4, 2009 at 1:00pm 4 Comments

For all those non-dairy fans, we have some tasty sorbets with all natural fruit--no flavouring, just tons of fruit!
Flavours will vary according to fresh fruit we have that day, but you can expect things like mango, strawberry, pineapple, triple berry, lime, lemon, etc. and of course whatever fruit is in season throughout the summer. Will begin experimenting with rich flavours (chocolate, caramel, etc) soon!
