Downtown Diva Dress Drive

1,000 dresses … 1,000 smiles!

While the Cinderella story is a fairtytale to most of us, a group of women from the greater Toronto area are joining forces and making dreams come true for under privileged high school girls.

Every year thousands of girls across Canada graduate from high school. With many families struggling to make ends meet these days, luxuries like prom dresses are unaffordable to many girls.

On Saturday, February… Continue

Creme The Urban Dairy Bar is my new FAV place for breakfast!

Yes, you read that right... and no I am not having ice cream for breakfast! I have been there twice in the last week and each time the food and service is EXCELLENT. Me and my breakfast date have been sharing a bagel with their home-made cream cheese (skip the Philli, their homemade version is so much more tastier!) and their youghurt with granola, berries and hemp seeds.

I have already been collecting donated items/gc's from local businesses for the raffle. You can check out the list on the home page. I am still hoping for some more. Time wise the event is from 1-5pm, but no worries, I might end up convincing some family members to help out:)

Hi Lori: I think you were the one who had the original idea to have a neighbourhood-wide yard sale. Thanks! It's now evolved into Leslieville Stomp, so hopefully our first annual street festival will be a success. You kindly mentioned that you could help out, so I'm asking if you'd like to deliver some flyers. If you could do your street and a few others (as many as you feel you can), I'd appreciate it. I'm doing the Queen St. businesses today and tomorrow because I have to firm up Stomp promotions for advertising purposes, but really need help with gettintg these flyers to households. Let me know!

Leslieville Local Business Marketing - 10 ways to use

Posted by Nolin (Admin) on February 3, 2011 at 12:00pm 4 Comments

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
