"We have a dog who used to get very stressed in the car. We started taking her everywhere we could in the car. She went to school for drop off and pick up and to run errands if she wouldn't have to wait in the car. We used a calming formula for…"
"I think you're on the right track... some dogs love the car, some hate it (we've even known friends who's dog would puke... every time!)
The more exposure you can give your dog to the car, the better. It's a matter…"
Hello! Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for easing a puppy's first long car ride? We're driving to the cottage soon - and so far 7-month-old Guinness has only had max. 20 minute car rides, where he seems to have a some anxiety and won't settle down. We plan to have him in a crate in the back, we'll take him for a good run before leaving to tire him out, and we've had the suggestion of gravol to help him calm down. Any other experiences? Thanks!\MeganSee More
We have started using The Wagging Tail on Kingston Rd (at Willow Ave) for daycare occasionally. It was recommended by good friends for boarding (they travel from High Park to board their dog there because it's one of the best…"

Our 4 month old Portuguese Water Dog is coming along really well in our first training class, so it's clear that he's eager to learn new things. The major issue I'm struggling with though, is constant biting. We are trying to abruptly stop play as soon as he bites, but it still doesn't seem to be making much of a difference. Does anyone have any advice for this? Thanks!MeganSee More
Have you decided on a dog yet? We have 2 Wheaten Terriers. They are similar looking to labradoodles but are a bit smaller. Ours are both males - one weighs 37 pounds and the other will most likely weigh more (he's only 7…"
"Hey thanks! We are welcoming our puppy home in the second weekend in Feb. We have decided to go with a PWD.
So we will have an 8 week old hyper little guy then. I think we may be interested with your programs, but we will be waiting a little…"
Have you and your husband added a dog to your family yet? Great breeds you mention.
I run a business in the Beaches called Fetching. Our programs combine obedience training for dogs (of ALL levels) with a boot camp workout for…"
When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated. Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
