Where is the hate button?  I agree with jezebel on this one.  If you like a post or thread, then engage in it.

"Likes" are lame

They are taking up too much space on the initial page. If you want to "like" something, go to facebook. IMHO.

I used PERFECT TOUCH INTERIORS (a recommendation from this site). Lucas was awesome. Did in 1 day (with a 3 person team) what we knew would take us 3 weekends or so, on our on. He was professional, prompt, courteous, and reasonable. Highly…

I've reported the dog to animal services, so that they can at least try to get him/her off the street. Last seen walking down Eastern, easterly towards Larchmount.

German Shepherd wandering on Caroline

There is a large german shepherd walking around Caroline/Eastern right now. It has tags. I tried to call him/her, but it did not work. This is the fourth dog I have come across in the last 2 weeks.See More

If you are interested in appies at home Swirl (located in Leslieville, above the Bone House) has a few prepared jars i.e. blood pudding.  Might be a worth a look.  You can either purchase them to take out in little mason jars, or sit and…

The Black Hoof might be a good option.  Their most recently posted menu has sweetbreads, tongue, bone marrow and duck heart listed.

Might be hard to find them all in one place, though some options for downtown restaurants might be...   Cava - squab hearts, tripe, sweetbreads, beef cheek Guu - menu changes often, but here I've found beef tongue, sea urchin, raw prawns,…

Advice from foodies...

This is not a Leslieville question per se, but I know there are a lot of foodies in the hood. Can anyone recommend any Toronto restos that cater to the bits of food not normally associated to a Toronto restaurant experience? You know, the things that many might turn their nose too. I was thinking Beast Restaurant, but it does not seem too different. Perhaps something in Pacific Mall? I have a group of friends coming up and would like to surprise them with an experience they may not have had…See More

Bona Pizza and Valley Pizza are my preferred delivery places within the area. Bona edges out Valley for me but others like Valley better and it was certainly pretty good. Bona has a thin crispy crust, very fresh ingredients and some interesting…

I have to be honest...their appetizers and desserts were wonderful (as was the atmosphere) but the pizza underwhelmed me. It arrived at our table noticeably undercooked and was very bland. The mezzaluna, for instance, had plain ricotta cheese…

You must try Queen Margarita! It's a fun experience - great buzz and atmosphere and the pizza is incredible - make reservations if you're eating there!

I also like Amaro; though lately they've been stingy with toppings. Everything has become finely chopped and thinly scattered...hopefully it improves again.

The best pizza is at Tommaso's Trattoria. I don't know how big the order would have to be for them to deliver, but it's worth driving to pick it up yourself. http://www.tommasostrattoria.com/ 416-466-0988
