"The Stubborn Leslieville Gardener"

Ever since buying my first house I have become addicted to the world of flowers. My husband and I have spent the last year renovating our 96 year old house, which had been poorly neglected by the previous owner. To those of you who have done a gut renovation themselves and not by hired professionals you know what a draining job it is. I meant to write this the other day, but after battling a low-level cold for about a week, the worst of it emerged mid-week and knocked me out of commission. The past week was perhaps the first time that I slept every time the baby slept since he was born. And I'm glad that I did; I'm now nearly fully recovered from my cold just in time for my Little One to begin another growth spurt.

Vegas has evolved from the days of $0.99 buffets and mole sauce in a paper cub at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaworld. Today some… Continue

Leslieville Diner - Has anyone been there?

Has this place opened yet? Has anyone been? I'm curious if it's a "legit" greasy spoon diner (something I think the neighborhood could use)

Online Pedometer

Apparently I am the only one still driving my favourite routes to calculate how far I'm running. Members of the Leslieville Running Group have thankfully enlightened me by telling me about Gmaps Pedometer. This application is useful for cyclists, walkers and runners who want to map out and calculate new routes or figure out what distances they're already covering.

Leslieville Local Business Marketing - 10 ways to use

Posted by Nolin (Admin) on February 3, 2011 at 12:00pm 4 Comments

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
