Morning practice in Greenwood Park

HELP........... AND BE A PART OF THE BEST EVENT EVER!

The Leslieville STOMP is this weekend, Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29. Yard sales galore, Pub and Grub Crawl, wonderful activities for the kids and the dogs, strolling musicians and on and on.

But we need some HELP. We need volunteers to help out on Saturday afternoon. It would only require a 2 hour time slot (1 hour if we get enough people) and then you can go back to enjoying all that the STOMP has to offer.

Can I call myself a Leslieviller?

This was something I started pondering on the weekend after a jaunt along Queen > am I a Leslieviller? I really want to be, but don't know if I qualify. What is the generally accepted boundaries of Leslieville? My assumption would be it ends at around the Jimmie Simpson Park at the west end of it.

I'm at Broadview & Queen so I feel a little on the outskirts. Especially since my street signs say Riverside. Which as a side note is weird because once you cross the Don you enter the… Continue

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop people going through my garbage before I put it out for collection?

I just had something taken from the path between my house and my neighbours. It is garbage day so I am assuming someone felt free to walk up to my house and help themselves to what took their fancy. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Frankly Eatery

This morning ( Mother's Day) we continued our efforts to sample each and every brunch spot in the hood by paying a visit to the new Frankly Eatery. The restaurant is small ( seats approx 16) but very cozy and the service was very friendly and quick.

There is a noticeable Indian-flavour flair to some of the dishes which adds a unique twist to the brunch offerings on the Leslieville strip.

Old Gas Station at Corner of Queen and Rushbrooke turning into townhouses?

I came across this blurb on the Hallstone Homes website "Coming Soon"

SAFE AND SOUND loves Leslieville's fantastic kids!

We have just concluded our first weekend of daycare tours/interviews and have had the pleasure of meeting several wonderful Leslieville families.
