The Leslieviller.com Patio Club will be congregating at L'il Baci this Saturday. They have a lovely patio out back, but if it's raining, as is currently forecast, we will be drinking beer and eating pizza inside, hopefully at the big table in the front window. Check them out at www.lilbaci.com.
Come and join us for a few minutes or a few hours. Get to know your neighbours and your online contacts while enjoying and supporting one of our terrific local establishments.

In response to the CBC interview this morning on Radio One (with Liako), as well as the follow-up web-based article, we want to set the record straight. What was reported by CBC was a greatly distorted quote. What Liako said to the reporter was:"We (Red Rocket Coffee) want to be an anchor in the neighborhood". CBC, by omitting the 2 words "to be", created a gross misrepresentation of Liako's words, suggesting that the TTC yard is the anchor.
We want to assure our community, in which…

Hi.
I am looking for an 'up to today's standards' crib for my grand-daughter to use at my house. I need it ASAP (like maybe even today, if posssible)because the cradle that she is now using is no longer suitable for her. She is 6 months old and has just started to stand up in it...today... and it is now dangerous.
She and her mum and dad are living with us until they move into their own new house in July where she will have her very own, nice new crib-cum-toddler bed…

Well it's a marvelous day for the Patio Club
With the sun up above in our eyes.
A fantabulous day to hit a pub
For some wine, beer, and maybe some fries.
And y'know the Patio Club is magic
Seems to be a nice break
And all the cool L-dot-commers
Seem so nice (da-da-da)
They're not fake (da-da-da)
Can I just have one more cold beer with Leslievillers (.com)
Can I just have one more laugh to tears with Leslievillers (.com)
One…

Hi Everyone!
I took in a 6month old cat that was hanging around Stratengers and in the rest of the hood. I've named her Penelope.
Penny is very sweet and friendly and healthy, but she has feline leukemia. Which means she can't be an outdoor cat, and she can't live with other cats. I currently have a cat, and cannot keep her.
Penny would be great as an indoor cat. She's very soclal. She's had all her shots and been spayed. If you're interested, or know anybody who would be, please…

It's shaping up to be a beautiful afternoon to laze on a patio drinking frosty beverages. Join us at Stratengers at 2:00 today. Outside if the weather holds, inside if it doesn't. Hopefully we will have a sign with the Leslieviller.com signature L, but if not , look for a bunch of cool people trying to make eye contact to see if you're looking for people you haven't met. Sounds confusing but it's worked out so far and we've found each other.
For you newbies - we are intending to do…

Eye Spy
1100 Queen St E.
(416) 461-4061
To say that Eye Spy is a gift store would be selling it short. To say that it’s furniture shop would be only partially true. And to say that it’s a design shop sounds too pretentious. And while Eye Spy does present all the above, what it mostly caters to is a lifestyle.
Of course everything is eye-catching. Where else in Leslieville would you find elegant Berger chairs upholstered in a fearless floral sharing the spotlight…

The Patio Club is turning out to be a great neighbourhood get-together. I'm looking forward to a summer of Saturday afternoons spent on the various patios of Leslieville, getting to know the cool and varied people who make Leslieville their home, as well as getting to know some of our bars and restaurants a little better.
This weekend we'll be at Stratengers. I know, AGAIN? Well, the thing is, we've liked it so much and wanted to get the group established before we started moving…

Kudo's to all who on very short notice arranged this event.
Noticed lots of extra traffic through the neighborhood and Queen St was bustling.
Once it becomes an annual event think of the possibilities. We can add concerts, street closures, restaurant tastings,
perhaps a beer tent. The possibilities are endless.
The best part is we're bringing people into the area that may not have ever come out this far because it was a "bad place"
Once more…

When I first moved to Leslieville back in the 80's there were free concerts at Greenwood Park. There was a small stage set up near the south east corner and the hill formed a natural auditorium. Sunday nights around dusk there were concerts. I never went, but I live close enough that the music would waft in through my open windows. I can't remember if it was every single weekend or just every now and then.
I wonder what would be involved in having similar shows now. It's probably too…
