Yes, you read that right... and no I am not having ice cream for breakfast! I have been there twice in the last week and each time the food and service is EXCELLENT. Me and my breakfast date have been sharing a bagel with their home-made cream cheese (skip the Philli, their homemade version is so much more tastier!) and their youghurt with granola, berries and hemp seeds.
Today I got the chance to sit on their backyard patio which is so quaint and comfortable with tables and chairs…

I just wanted to post a ringing endorsement of Patrick McMurray's new
Ceili Cottage at 1301 Queen St. E.
Here is
a great article about the place with awesome photos.
The design of the place is world class IMHO. Long Bar along the back, building from the 1800's as "cottage"…

Leslievillers will NOT be daunted by "heavy rain showers starting in early afternoon". Get yourselves to Stratengers. If it's raining, check inside for us. We'll have an "L" sign on the table.
For those of you who have not joined us yet for Patio Club, please do! Everyone is welcome. It's a great chance to meet people from this cool neighbourhood and to put some faces to your online contacts.

Hi everyone,
I am trying to raise funds for Sick Kids and would like to hold a fundraiser day in the hood. I was planning on holding one in the fall as well. Is there anyone who would be willing to let me use their retail space or does anyone have any suggestions as to where it can be held? Once I have a location I will quickly be asking merchants for merchadise donations in order to hold a raffle on the chosen day. As well there will be face painting, a bake sale and whatever else I…

The garden is open for those who want a flowery space to enjoy ice cream, smoothies, frappes, coffee drinks, ice cream sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, fruit, WHATEVER! Haven't had a chance to string the lights and so may be eerily dark in the evening with candles, but the aroma of honeysuckle is greatest at that time of day and it's awesome...reminds us of our sojourns to the mountains in the south of Spain....come join us (the garden gets great morning and early afternoon sun!)! OH YEAH, look for…

Two summer exhibitions are on view through August 16th at Brayham Contemporary Art 1318 Queen St East. Betty Kaser's elegant charcoal and graphite drawings on Mylar are on view in the galleries. These works continue Kaser's exploration of both physical and emotional space. In the garden an installation of Mary McKenzie's delightful ceramic vessels is on view. These ceramic flowers range from porcelain to stoneware, each with a centre of recycled glass. The flowers look wonderful placed in the…

For all those non-dairy fans, we have some tasty sorbets with all natural fruit--no flavouring, just tons of fruit!
Flavours will vary according to fresh fruit we have that day, but you can expect things like mango, strawberry, pineapple, triple berry, lime, lemon, etc. and of course whatever fruit is in season throughout the summer. Will begin experimenting with rich flavours (chocolate, caramel, etc) soon!

We have gotten this question often in the last number of days, so thought we'd mention that we can have ice cream sandwiches ready for your special event, birthday party, anniversary, backyard BBQ or just any old get together as long as you give us at least 24 hours notice (depending on size of order). Cookie flavours include oatmeal, double chip (white and regular chocolate) and dark chocolate and as for ice cream flavours: the sky's the limit! We can also customize with fillings (marshmallow…
