Haunted Leslieville

As the witching draws near and the jack-o’lanterns appear, perhaps you hear ghostly footsteps along Queen Street East…

Or what was that pale shimmer hanging over the Devil’s Hollow on Gerrard Street?

As October 31 draws near, my blood begins to chill and the hair on my neck rises just as the night temperatures drop.  It is time for the ghosts to walk and, if I haven’t yet seen a ghost in my neighbourhood perhaps you have for surely…

Original article from

Hi Leslievillers:

My cousin came over last night and and we were on our way to Tango Palace when we stumbled upon this place...

Glas is a new wine, appetizer and dessert bar at 1118 Queen St. East. The server told me they've only been open for three weeks! It's the…

Small town/big city

When I started FITMOM 12 years ago I lacked community and felt like crap about myself. As a single mom I felt like an outsider. Once running FITMOM I came to learn that many women felt the same way I did even in happy marriages.  The truth is North American society lacks community. At risk of sounding like the poster child for people who like Leslieville I have to say again it is my little piece of heaven. I think I feel the need to talk about it because I hope it never changes but only gets…

Restaurant Review - Frankly Eatery

Frankly, I should keep my mouth shut, but I thought you all deserved to know there’s an awesome eatery in town. So awesome, it has earned a score of 100% on Urbanspoon. Need I say more? No, but I will anyway.

My neighbourhood just keeps getting better and better. With every restaurant I visit and every bite I take. Although, it seems to be the brunch spots…

Want Fresh Fish? Get Hooked!

If you’re a Toronto east-ender and a fish-eater, read on! You’re about to get “Hooked” on the best fish in town!

Ok west-enders, if you muster up the energy to venture past the DVP, you can read on too.:)

Another form that should also be signed at this time is the Working with a Realtor. This form basically… Continue

Home Buying in Toronto Made Simple: Part 1

One of the largest and single most expensive purchases one makes is the buying of a home. Home Buying in Toronto Made Simple: Part 1 is a proven method that I use with my clients to help the process be less stressful and an enjoyable experience. Whether one is buying a new first home, luxury home, country cottage or estate, condo or a pied-a-terre, or even just moving up or downsizing, the stress level rises. My job, as a Real Estate Professional, is to help make this transition as easy and… Continue

Leslieville Local Business Marketing - 10 ways to use

Posted by Nolin (Admin) on February 3, 2011 at 12:00pm 4 Comments

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
