930 Queen East. Full scale gutting for.... what?

Hello all. I was picking up some beans at Mercury last night when we noticed the space at 930 Queen St E was gutted and stripped down to the studs. Seriously, there were only beams on the ground floor and you could see into the basement. Anyone know what this is being turned into?

It is indeed going to be Dr. Sugarmans new digs. Or at least thats what he said to me when they bought it about a year ago.

...I suppose things could have changed since then, though.

Ah even more news.

It is a bigger space. So Sugarmans (what a name for a dentist) space will be invaded by someone.

Come Como is closed, as is Blu.

I live around the corner. For what it's worth, word on the block is that the Sugarman clinic is moving into that space from its current location a few doors down.

Yeah I know that story. I didn't want to put it in here. I have no clue who owns it.

The one with the drapes - well a long time ago a fellow died there and was not discovered for many days - you don't want to know what I heard about the animals in there. I wonder what is happening with the space, it's been years now. Why is it still in the same state of disrepair

According to the City's building application website, it's being converted into a dentist's office

Ya drove past it tonight. It's a big place! Upstairs might need a new access though, as I saw the stairs inside.

You mean the place that had "handicapped" drawn on a cardboard sign with black marker? That was the one.

What was this before? Was this the "Handicapped" place that was pretty much one step away from derelict? Or was it the one with the drapes?
