Can Leslieville become the next gallery district?

Murray Whyte, the visual arts writer for the Toronto Star wrote a column discussing Toronto's emerging art districts and gave a mention to Leslieville. Thanks Murray!

While he mentioned three of our galleries, Parts, Pentimento and Brayham Contemporary Art, please don't forgot that there are many more galleries in our neighbourhood including - P/M Gallery, Headbones, and Rouge.

I would be interested in knowing if there is sufficient interest in a gallery walk, either on a Saturday or a Thursday or Friday evening? Nancy, maybe you could gauge interest at the Patio Club this Saturday?

Comment by Nancy on August 23, 2009 at 9:07am: Maybe a Saturday Gallery walking tour is in order. Two groups - one starts on the north side, one on the south, cross the street and come back to regroup in a pub/bar and discuss.
