I've realized over the years that I am a last minute shopper.  A week before Christmas and I am panicking.

What to buy for who haven't been decided on.  I'll realize that my clients should be appreciated and thanked.  My company's Kris Kringle always comes up and finding something worthy under $20 is like finding a needle in a hay stack.  So like everyone else, who have busy schedules (all of Toronto), I schedule a day to head out and for some reason, every year, I think I can find everyone's gifts, that I didn't decide on, in a day.

Of course on the Saturday afternoon (bad day & time), I go shopping and end up coming home with a few gifts.  The stores are ridiculously busy, so I'm there longer then I want to be.  The selection is scarce and of course mostly Made in China.  I am pushed around and don't feel very jolly by the end of my day.  But with an optimistic outlook, I think well I got to see the lastest trends.

This year, I am making my life easier.. One stop shopping in my hood.  The Leslieville Christmas Pop-up Market Dec 12-13, 2015 11am-6pm.

Posted by Nolin (Admin) on February 3, 2011 at 12:00pm 4 Comments

When I launched this site in early 2009, one of the compelling reasons for doing so was that I was struck by how many of the businesses in Leslieville are locally owned and operated.  Another big observation was (and still is) how proud most…
