Leslieville Diner - Has anyone been there?

Has this place opened yet? Has anyone been? I'm curious if it's a "legit" greasy spoon diner (something I think the neighborhood could use)

had lunch there last week. servers are really friendly and the owner seems really interested in feedback and making sure the meal was enjoyable. think he is more interested in the local crowd which is a nice change.

Just got back from lunch...
It was exactly what I was expecting.
If you can picture a typical diner... Decent food... decent service... no frills... this is it.
I had the clubhouse... It is hard to make a bad clubhouse, but I have had them... This one was quite good!

I really liked it. A good basic breakfast.

Great breakfast....cheap and super yummy. It's truthfully a bit of fresh air to get a breakfast for under 8 dollars on the queen strip:)

Thanks for the feedback - It sounds like a nice addition to the 'hood. A straightforward, no frills diner is always a nice option to have.

Note to all the parents out there - I went there the other day with a friend and our two little boys (under a year) and the servers were amazing, such laid back ladies, who were thrilled to see the kids and not freaked out when a morsel or two ended up on the floor (which, of course, we cleaned up before leaving!). Nice to have a place to take the kids that is cheap and, yes, greasy! Yum!

I've been a couple of times...once for dinner, and once for weekend breakfast. If by "legit" you mean cheap prices, homemade food, mediocre service, and no decor...then it's totally legit. It's not all decked out in retro diner gear or anything though. In fact, the interior is rather drab.

Seriously...if you're just looking for decent food at decent prices with no frills, you shouldn't be disappointed. They make their own burgers, soups, pies, etc. It's a nice addition to the neighbourhood.
