REVINTAGEJennifer loves this time of year.  Mainly because she love making ornaments.
Her favourite are the filled glass balls.
“This year I scored a damaged copy of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and was able to use the pages to fill with.  Each one is finished with either a vintage button or bell.  I still made my button and glitter filled ones.  Can’t ignore a classic.
The lace ornaments are a perfect add on to any gift.  They add a special touch to any secret Santa, hostess or what ever gift. “
This is her first year making holiday cards.  Each one painted on the inside and out.  The vintage images are sealed so they can be used year after year as part of your holiday décor.
You’ll find these and so much more at the Leslieville Holiday Flea November 29th.

GENUINE TEADavid and Sarah, of Genuine Tea,  spent the last 4 years living, studying and working in Taiwan. They fell in love with tea out there and traveled to tea plantations across Asia to learn as much as they possibly could about tea cultivation and processing.

After moving back to Canada in the fall they began training to become tea sommeliers. Genuine Tea launched in May, 2015 and began selling at farmers’ markets and festivals throughout Ontario.
What sets them apart from other tea companies is that they use a direct trade model and import their teas from the source. They support small growers and have partnered with a social enterprise called Mana Organics which promotes organic farming and sustainable practices in rural India. They currently have a selection of 40 + premium teas, many of which are certified organic.  They also sell a variety of unique tea accessories including tea pots, tea cups, brew pouches and infusers.
This Sunday, they will have a selection of delicious ready-to-drink tea beverages on offer.  Signature items are organic iced teas, which are sweetened with Ontario honey. They also serve iced chai lattes and hot loose leaf tea by the cup.
Come and have a cuppa, and you can purchase some takeaways for gifting too!

thats my jam

Dedicated to making very fine preserves while supporting local growers, gardening, and sustainable practices, they use carefully selected locally grown and organic ingredients as much as possible. Only very small batches are made as fruits and herbs become available. Here is a sample of some of their incredible products they will be bringing on Sunday.

Dulce de MembrillO – Elizabethan quince cheese is a ‘must have’ for the cheese board. Called a ‘cheese’ because of the texture, simply cut fine slices to embellish each bite of cheese.

COULIS – Sumptuous as syrups to drizzle over desserts, or simply enjoy with fresh fruit and cream.

JAMS – Great range of jams to use traditionally … or experiment with meats, sausages, and cheeses.

JELLIES – Lovely jellies for toast, crumpets, etc. Use in reduction sauces or glazes for meat, game or poultry.

MARMALADES – Deliciously bitter breakfast pleasure. Enjoy with a croissant and coffee

This year, for the Holiday Flea, they will be selling GIFT PACKS.   The single jam gift pack is a favourite, it includes a choice of retro serving dish in glass, Pyrex, or china, or a carved wood dish and spoon. The double jam gift pack includes a larger carved wood dish and two spoons.

ANIMAL LIBIn case you are feeling hungry Tanya, from Animal Liberation Kitchen will be with us offering a tasty and healthy plant based menu. At Animal Liberation Kitchen they are developing diverse dishes inspired by traditional kitchens from all over the world. This year, ALK will be bringing back Jackfruit Tacos and some Apple Cider Pumpkin Spice to keep you warm…and this year will be also selling T-shirts with their logo.
