Hi there,
You are invited to get involved in our efforts to create a local ChangeCamp event.
ChangeCamp is about re-imagining government and citizenship in an age where broadband
connectivity and many other environmental and socioeconomic factors are
changing the possibilities of participation.
ChangeCamp helps those working the front lines of various community
actions connect and
discover new paths towards empowerment through those connections and
the technologies, events and design approaches that strengthen them.
Anyone involved in local sport, youth action, poverty relief, housing,
business, community & individual resiliency and more can
participate in ChangeCamp and come away with new connections and a
better sense of possibilities in my view.
More so, at the
ChangeCamp.ca
events that I have participated in (these events have self organised
from coast to coast over the last year), I have met many people who
have come to understand that their own lives are changing quickly to
adapt to new technology and socioeconomic realities. We share an
interest in exploring how we can hasten our traditional institutional
and business practices towards embracing this adoption with more
determination.
You can find more details and links in our
ChangeCamp Interest Group.
I am hosting a meeting of those interested in collaborating towards a
local ChangeCamp sometime in May next week at my house. Please let us
know if you would like to join and what time works best for you by
